Step 1: Join FOS AUTO by creating an account.

Step 2: Click on the "Find a Car" tab at the top of the page.

Step 3: Browse listings or modify your search by using the drop down menu's to select make, model, year, your zip code, etc. You can even search for vehicles by mileage and price or use advance search tools.

Step 4: Click on the "Find Auctions" link and browse our up-to-the minute inventory. You can find vehicles in your area by noting the distance within your zip code, check out any current bids and see when the auction expires – all at a glance. You can also sort through auctions that are ending soon, are newer or older or which are strictly "Buy it Now" purchases. You can also narrow your search by viewing vehicles which are auctioned by dealers or private sellers. To learn more about a vehicle, simply click on the year, make and model link of the vehicle in the listing. To display the vehicle history report, click on the Carfax tab.

Step 5: When you're ready to bid, click on the "Place a Bid" link and note all auction details on this page, including all vehicle information, additional photos, seller information and any features. From this area, you can use the estimated payment calculator, or ask the seller a question by using our simple message form.

Step 6: When you're ready, place your bid!

Step 7: If your bid is accepted or you've used the "Buy It Now" feature, the seller will respond with further instructions on how to proceed.

You can watch any auction by clicking on the "Watch" tab. The "Watch" tab can be found at the top of your account page. Watching an auction allows you to keep current on any new bids and we'll send you an email in the event that a new bid has been made or if the status of the auction changes. You can also keep track of any active bids you've placed and view your bid history by clicking on the "Bids" tab at the top of your account page. You can send and receive messages to sellers via the Message Center and note any updates or alerts within your account page.
